Own Your Battles

  1. Well said and spoken post. I’m an ambivert (the most introverted extrovert you’ll ever meet) but with depression things like “keep going” “don’t give up” become just words over the years and you go through merely the motions of doing things. Like your other posts, they are more of a realization of things for me as a tool of enlightenment to what I deal with every day and for that I thank you deeply because it’s been very therapeutic for me and allows me to read something that digs, DIGS to the core and pushes up the rooted ugliness that I bury each day, hour at times and help kill it and throw it away and hopes to one day be more on the brighter side of life….. (yes insert Monty Python song here!) But at least i can still have somewhat a sense of humour along the way eh? Thank you, Thank you, Thank YOU. I admire and appreciate what you do on here.

    1. Thank you for your time.

You know my friend, I know a lot about inner-battles. Hence the reason why I started this blog. Writing is one cure among several others. Art. To express yourself. The true you, is the only cure. Although I was never diagnosed with depression and never took any medication, my inner-turmoils nearly drove me homeless on the streets.

From the day I was adopted to couple years ago, I had no self-worth and self-love whatsoever. I was sleep walking through my life. And the ugly truth is, society is set to see us fail. It is set so that we feed the machine. When you become an outcast, nobody cares.

However, instead of drowning with those dark feelings, let them show you the light inside of your heart. Let the darkness bring you to light. If you are willing to let go of the pressure, let go of things and people that do not serve you, it’s a process that will show you who you truly are. There’s only one way out of depression and it’s to find yourself.

We could hold this conversation for hours.

Hope you’re having a wonderful day so far!

      Infinite peace and wisdom!
