The True Meaning Of A Wound

There’s a list long of different things that can wound someone’s heart, mind or spirit. It doesn’t always have to be a relationship.

Simple things :

  • Childhood physical or sexual abuse

  • Separation by death

  • Separation by adoption

  • Getting harshly fired

  • Dishonesty, lies and betrayal

  • Eviction

  • etc…

Those are just a few things. I’m sure you can think of many more for yourself. While all of those horrible events can take a serious tole on our self-esteem, they do not happen without a reason.

The true purpose of a broken heart is not to break you or set you back but to fix you and set you up. But yes of course it has to break us first. We can’t repair something that is not broken.

However why do we get broken in the first place? Well, Rumi once said “the wound is where the light enters you”.

The cracks are created for us to receive light. As weird as it may sound, a broken heart is meant to open you up. I mean how can we pour water inside something that is closed with no opening? We either need to break it or create a hole somewhere, right?

The Universe truly is mysterious, but once you understand how it works, you will marvel at how intelligent the process is.

So please don’t close your heart. If it is broken it is meant to be cracked opened. Let the light enter you, as painful as it may feel at first.

I wish infinite love, health, healing, wealth, success, happiness, awareness, peace and wisdom upon your soul
