In a fixed mindset, people believe they cannot change. They believe they are victim of their genetics, societies and circumstances.
In a flexible mindset, people are open to learn and view the world from several different perspectives.
What about you, what is your mindset? Is your mindset separating you or unifying you?
When I used to think that I was victim of my circumstances and genetics, my life was not going right. I was quick to blame everything and everybody.
I didn’t realize I was blocking my potential. I was stuck in a spiral of self-limiting thoughts. A spiral I had previously created myself. Then I got really sick from being so limited. By the way, do you know why we get sick? It’s the mindset. Our mind either produces good or bad chemicals. In other words, what we think and hold on to either optimizes or poisons us.
When I started meditating and contemplating my mind, I realized how important it is to have a flexible mindset. Now I see and experience it everyday. I feel abundant. But it is really difficult to communicate and bound with people who are fixed in their mindset.
People are scared to change and open their mind. The ego is really strong. But here’s the thing.
You may be tempted to blame the Government, society, racism, sexism, the country you live in, your childhood…
At the end of the day, if you are not willing to change your mindset, your life will always stay the same…
I understand that some people are comfortable in boxes… and there is nothing wrong with that. To each his own.
But me honestly, I feel too big for small containers. I must expand.
I’ve made a promise to myself to commit to grow as much as I can.
It’s a project of a lifetime.
We either get better or worst.
Make a promise to yourself.
