There’s a certain functionality in dysfunction which totally prevents it to be dysfunctional.
If you look at it long enough you will realize that dysfunction serves a certain function.
When there is no more functionality in the dysfunction, that’s when it totally ceases to function. And that’s exactly at that precise moment that the dysfunction becomes truly dysfunctional.
If healthy, a certain amount of dysfunction can act as a pointer that something can be fixed or improved. But once let settle, it serves no purpose, but to remind us that we are slipping and falling on it time and time again.
